Text Line Wrapper

Reflow plain-text paragraphs at a grapheme-count width, preserving joined emoji and offering two long-word policies.

How to use this tool

  • Paste Text to wrap. Blank lines separate paragraphs; surrounding and repeated blank lines are removed.
  • Set Line width (grapheme clusters) from 10 to 500. Choose whether Long words should break at grapheme boundaries or stay intact on wider lines.
  • Select Wrap text, then use Download result to save wrapped-text.txt.

Examples

At width 10, one two three becomes two lines: one two and three.

Limitations

  • Up to 200,000 UTF-16 code units of valid Unicode; width 10–500 grapheme clusters. Output: at most 50,000 lines including blank separators and 2 MiB UTF-8; 30-second worker deadline.
  • Width counts grapheme clusters, not screen pixels, terminal columns or visual glyph widths. No justification or language hyphenation. Keeping a long word intact permits an over-width line.
  • Only spaces and tabs delimit words and define blank lines. Nonbreaking spaces stay inside words. Browser textarea input normalizes pasted line endings to LF.
  • The shared text preview is limited to 1,048,576 characters; download the complete permitted result.
