How to use this tool

  • Enter First text and Second text, or choose 2–8 UTF-8 files in the intended order; files replace both text boxes.
  • Select Interleave lines. Uneven source tails continue after shorter sources end.
  • Download interleaved.txt and interleave-map.json.

Examples

First text a1 then a2 and second text b1 then b2 produce a1, b1, a2, b2 on separate lines, with one final LF.

Limitations

  • 1 MiB combined UTF-8 input, 2–8 files or two text boxes, 50,000 total logical lines, 65,536 UTF-16 units per line, 10 MiB combined output and a 30-second processing limit.
  • Only CR, LF and CRLF delimit lines. Output uses LF with one final LF when nonempty; BOM and other Unicode separators remain data. Pasted line endings follow native normalization.
  • No configurable record separator, CSV parsing or unbounded streaming. Source filenames are omitted from the provenance map.
