How to use this tool
- Enter the requested values: Numbers (separated by spaces, commas or new lines).
- Choose Calculate and review the result.
- Download the text result if useful. Reset restores the initial inputs and clears the result.
Examples
2,4,4,4,5,5,7,9 have mean 5, mode 4 (three occurrences) and population standard deviation 2.
Limitations
- Maximum 10,000 numbers and 1,000,000 characters. Values have magnitude at most 1e100; nonzero inputs that underflow to zero are rejected.
- Commas, semicolons and whitespace separate values. Equivalent decimal spellings count together using floating-point numeric equality. All repeated ties are modes; a list where every value appears once has no mode.
- Sample deviation requires two values. Numeric summaries round to 15 significant digits; mode values retain the stored numeric representation. Scaled compensated arithmetic reduces overflow/cancellation, but floating-point rounding still applies.
