How to use this tool
- Choose compare and enter complete versions A and B, including any prerelease and build identifiers.
- For a bump, choose bump, enter a stable version A and select major, minor or patch. Prerelease input is refused for bumping.
- Select Compare or bump version, then download the result text and the complete parsed comparison or bump report.
Examples
Comparing 1.2.3 with 1.3.0 returns less. A major bump of stable 1.2.3 produces 2.0.0.
Limitations
- At most 1024 UTF16 units per version,100 numeric digits per identifier,100 prerelease/build identifiers,1MiB combined output and30 seconds.
- No prefixes, whitespace, ranges or partial versions. Prerelease releases cannot be bumped; build metadata does not affect precedence.
