How to use this tool
- Choose a supported camera RAW file up to 64 MiB.
- Keep half-size enabled for large sensor images, choose PNG or JPEG, and select white balance and brightness.
- Develop the first image, inspect the result, and download the image or common metadata sidecar.
Examples
Develop a supported Canon CR2 into a half-size PNG using the camera white-balance setting.
Limitations
- Local LibRaw 0.22.2 stable decoder. Camera model and compression determine support, not filename extension. Tested camera fixtures include Canon EOS 350D CR2, Nikon D2H NEF, Sony ILCE-7S ARW and a controlled uncompressed Bayer DNG. Other models may work but are not guaranteed.
- Input at most 64 MiB, 40 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side; developed output at most 16 megapixels. The native worker has a 512 MiB memory ceiling, a 256 MiB RAW allocation setting and a 120-second overall deadline. Some mobile devices may have less memory available.
- First RAW image only. Headerless sensor dumps, ordinary raster images, Adobe DNG SDK/GoPro/X3F-dependent formats and JPEG XL or VC-5 compressed DNG are unsupported. Optional RawSpeed and professional development plug-ins are absent.
- Decoder assets download on first use; the selected file stays in your browser. CDDL-selected source, notices, build instructions and relocatable archives are supplied with the decoder.
- Basic bilinear development to eight-bit PNG or JPEG, sRGB output primaries and gamma parameters 2.4/12.92. LibRaw applies stored orientation. This is not manufacturer color matching, HDR processing, lens correction or professional development quality. Source metadata is omitted from the rendered image; a separate JSON download retains selected decoder fields.
- Half-size is a decoder request and may not reduce already-developed linear/small RAW formats. Choose it for large sensor files; full-size output must still fit 16 megapixels. Camera white balance can fall back when unavailable; numeric warning flags are included in the metadata report. Automatic brightness is a global decoder adjustment, not an exposure recovery guarantee.
