Limitations

Processing is local; input and output are not uploaded.

20 MiB and 24 megapixels per image; at most 16,384 pixels per side. SVG input is limited to 2 MiB.

Animated WebP and PNG are not supported. GIF uses the first frame. SVG supports a strict self-contained static-shape subset; text/fonts, CSS, external resources and active content are rejected.

Stored pixel orientation is used: EXIF orientation is not applied. Browser color decoding and native encoding can vary.

Weighted median-cut quantization creates an indexed PNG with 8–256 palette entries. This is lossy, including alpha; gradients and subtle colors may band.

The output is not guaranteed smaller. Compare its reported bytes and preview.
