How to use this tool
- Enter Colors (one per line). Blank lines are ignored; names, CSS variables, transparency and user markup are rejected.
- Set Grid columns from 1 to 16 and select Generate SVG swatches. The generated SVG previews as an inert Blob image.
- Select Download result to save palette-swatches.svg. Edit input or Reset clears the preview and download.
Examples
Four lines #f00, rgb(0 128 255), hsl(120 100% 25%) and #ff0000 produce four ordered swatches, including the repeated red.
Limitations
- At most 128 colors, 300 UTF-16 units per original line, 40,000 total UTF-16 units, 40 KiB UTF-8 input, 1–16 whole-number columns, 16,384 pixels per side, 24 million preview pixels and 1 MiB SVG; 30 seconds.
- Alpha must be exactly one. Inputs use the existing numeric parser and its channel rounding, including floating-point percentage normalization.
- Only canonical derived hex captions and fixed authored SVG structure are emitted. No custom labels, CSS, URLs, fonts or imported SVG markup.
- Generic monospace glyph appearance varies by viewer. No print/profile fidelity, image palette inference or compatibility with the existing shapes-only SVG sanitizer is claimed.
