How to use this tool
- Paste one Markdown table with a header and GFM separator row. Escape a literal pipe as \|, including in code spans.
- Use unique nonempty decoded headers. Mixed blocks and ragged rows are rejected; cells are not inferred or padded.
- Select Convert table to JSON, then Download result to save markdown-table.json. A header-only table produces [].
Examples
A cell written 001 stays the string "001"; a\|b becomes a|b, while **bold** stays literal Markdown.
Limitations
- Up to 200,000 UTF-16 input units, 10,000 rows including the header, 100 columns and 100,000 cells. Normalized formatter output at most 2 MiB and JSON at most 20 MiB; 30-second deadline.
- Inherits the existing formatter admission and padding bound. Wide cells across many rows can hit that bound even for smaller input. One top-level GFM table only; no mixed paragraphs, multiple tables or ragged-row repair.
- Table-pipe escapes are decoded, so original slash spelling is not preserved. Other inline Markdown, entities and HTML remain literal strings; no rendering or type inference. Pasted line endings normalize to LF.
