• 20 MiB compressed input; 32 MiB expanded/output; 1,000 ZIP entries; 8 MiB each; 200 reading-order items. XML/CSS: 8 MiB total; XML 2 MiB each; CSS 256 KiB each; 200,000 structure events; depth 48. Native heap 256 MiB and 60-second cancellable deadline including verified engine download.
• Static, single-rendition, reflowable UTF-8 EPUB 2 or 3 only. ZIP64, encrypted/obfuscated/signed resources, scripting, SVG/MathML, media overlays, fixed layout, CSS imports and remote resources are rejected. Duplicate reading-order items, nested text metadata, prefixed XHTML elements and ambiguous identifiers are rejected. Internal navigation must target an existing reading-order item and fragment. Accepted resources are normalized to unique internal filenames before native conversion.
• Embedded PNG/JPEG images: 4 MP each, 20 MP total, 8,192 pixels per side. Legacy reader limits may resize/recompress large images; generated thumbnails flatten alpha onto white. Embedded TTF/OTF fonts pass signature-only checks and remain inert resources; font structure/rendering is not validated. Ordinary hyperlinks and metadata may remain.
• Styles, pagination and font support can change, especially in legacy readers. No conformance, accessibility, exact-layout or physical-device certification is claimed. Verify the downloaded result.
• Output contains complete legacy MOBI7 and KF8 sections. Use a reader that accepts local MOBI files. No DRM removal, account access, cloud upload, Send-to-Kindle support or automatic device transfer.
