How to use this tool

  • Enter Start date and a later Exclusive end date.
  • Choose Fixed days or Balanced chunk count and enter the corresponding positive whole number.
  • Select Split date range and download date-intervals.json.

Examples

For [2024-01-01,2024-01-10) with four-day chunks, intervals end exclusively on January 5, January 9 and January 10.

Limitations

  • Years 0001 through 9999, 128 total input UTF-16 units, at most 1,000 intervals, fixed days from 1 through 36,500, 1 MiB report and 30 seconds.
  • Start must be before end. Balanced count cannot exceed total days. Fixed seven-day chunks start on the supplied start date, not a locale week boundary.
  • No calendar-month/year chunks, business-day rules, DST or recurrence engine. An exclusive end of year 10000 is unavailable, so this domain cannot include 9999-12-31.
