How to use this tool

  • Enter values using decimal points and choose the operation or assumptions shown.
  • Select Calculate and review the numerical result and its stated conventions.
  • Download the result or amortization schedule when available. Reset restores the example inputs.

Examples

1,000 at 5% compounded annually for two periods, with no additions, grows to 1,102.50.

Limitations

  • Runs locally. Decimal calculations use floating-point arithmetic, rounded to 12 significant digits; monetary displays use two decimals. Exact integer and fraction results are labelled separately.
  • Use one currency throughout. Estimates use your inputs and stated assumptions; fees, taxes, inflation and rate changes are excluded unless explicitly entered. These are calculations, not lending offers or investment forecasts.
  • Compounding and contributions share the chosen interval. Rate is nominal annual; 0–36,500 whole periods. Daily means 365 equal periods per year. Returns are constant assumptions, not predicted performance.
