How to use this tool
- Enter a nonnegative character count and positive word and sentence counts.
- Calculate the ARI value and inspect the exact fraction and rounded estimate.
- Download the complete count report.
Examples
100 characters, 20 words and 2 sentences produce an ARI estimate of 7.1200.
Limitations
- Each count has at most 12 digits and each raw field at most 128 units; 4096 intermediate digits, 64 KiB output and 30 seconds.
- Counts are supplied explicitly. The tool does not automatically tokenize text or assess language, comprehension or school placement.
- Four-decimal rounding uses half away from zero. Negative arithmetic estimates are retained without clamping.
