How to use this tool

  • Choose Basic or Bearer and enter only the selected scheme fields.
  • Select Build authorization header. Treat the result and report as credentials.
  • Download authorization.txt and authorization-report.json only when appropriate for your local workflow.

Examples

Basic user and an empty password encode the UTF-8 bytes of user: as dXNlcjo=.

Limitations

  • Basic credentials are at most 4096 UTF-16 units each and 16384 combined UTF-8 bytes including the colon. The username cannot contain a colon; username and password cannot contain ASCII controls. Valid Unicode scalar text is required.
  • Bearer uses a nonempty ASCII token with letters, digits, -, ., _, ~, + and /, followed only by optional terminal = padding; at most 16384 bytes. No trimming or token introspection. Unused scheme fields are ignored.
  • At most 128 KiB combined downloads and 30 seconds. Basic encoding is reversible, not encryption. No HTTP request, authentication, transmission, server charset negotiation or credential safety certification occurs.
