7Z Creator
Create a real LZMA2-compressed 7Z archive from locally selected files.

Browser only
Runs locally in your browser. Your files, pasted content and generated output are not uploaded. Reset clears this tool’s working data.

How to use this tool
- Choose files to archive.
- Create a 7Z archive with LZMA2 compression.
- Download the verified output. Reset clears local input and results. Cancel stops engine loading or processing.
Examples
Archive two text documents and a binary file; extract them with their exact original bytes.
Limitations
- 20 MiB combined input; 16 MiB per entry; 1,000 entries and 64 MiB extracted output. Creation accepts at most 100 files. Extraction downloads at most 100 selected files per run. Native heap is capped at 256 MiB and each job at 120 seconds.
- Supported 7Z methods include LZMA/LZMA2, PPMd and stored data. This build does not support 7Z Deflate, BZip2 or Zstandard. Supported RAR/RAR5 features depend on libarchive; unsupported methods fail explicitly.
- Encrypted, split-volume and self-extracting archives, links, special files, unsafe/non-normalized paths and duplicate/case-colliding names are rejected. Nested archives are not expanded. No password guessing or executable launch occurs.
- The engine is downloaded as versioned assets and verified before processing. Selected file bytes remain in your browser. A private in-memory temporary file is used for 7Z creation; no host filesystem API is exposed.
- Creation and conversion preserve safe filenames and file content but omit timestamps, permissions and archive metadata. Compression can increase size. Individual extraction downloads flatten folder paths and add numbered prefixes; use ZIP conversion to retain folder layout.
